Often I have opportunity to speak with people who say you have to keep the law of Moses to be saved. When I ask them why they have to do that they respond… its in the Bible.
When I ask them if they can recite the law to me they always fail for one big reason.
They assume that there are only 10 commandments in all the law of Moses when in fact there are 618 plus laws to be observed.
The book of James says if you keep one law you have to keep them all and if you break one you break them all.
The book of Ephesians says salvation is by “grace” through “faith”.
The book of Galatians says that the law is NOT of faith.
Finally Paul says the law was given to point out sin not to save. If you want to be saved from the wrath to come then you will have to “be saved” by simple trust in the finished cross work of Christ in his death, burial and resurrection.
How many laws did you say you keep? Sorry that’s not enough.
